New Delhi: Good news for the cancer patients. A new radiation therapy is introduced for the treatment of cancer in India. This was introduced now in Delhi as this radiation therapy has already started in some cities like Chennai and Bangalore.

The doctors say now there is no needing go for the treatment for Chennai and Bangalore as this was also introduced in Delhi. Previously the treatment for cancer had given with traditional radiation therapy but the new radiation therapy with the name Cyber Knife Robotic Radio Surgery System (CRRS) is introduced recently in Delhi. As this is one the good news to cancer patients. It also cures any kind of disease with minimal or with out any side effects to the patients. The Cyber Knife Robotic Radio Surgery System is the advanced system of traditional radio therapy system. Up to now many of the cancer patients are taking the normal radiation therapy. But the latest radiation system cures maximum cancer with less or without any side effects.

P.K Julka who is the head of oncology at all India institutes of medical sciences (AIIMS) told that we can give high dose radiation at specified location and spare the normal tissue. This technology sends high dosage in to body in one to five sections than 30 to 40 sections. When compared to traditional radiotherapy it has less or no side effects. Adult deaths due to cancer in the world are 7.6 million (around 13 percent of all deaths) in 2008. the study of 2012  shows that the cancer killed 556,400 people in India in the year 2010.  in India the   men suffer from oral cancer more and the cancer mostly seen in  women is cervical cancer. These both are the common cancers from which many people are suffering.

S.Hukku chairman of the Roentgen BLK Radiation Oncology center in BLK hospital said 50 patients had been treated using this technology with out any complications.  When coming to the cost, this technique is not very expensive. It cost Rs 5 lakhs. Till now it not adopted to government hospitals. When the government adopts it then it will cost Rs 1 lakh. Doctors are saying that many of common cancers can reduce by avoiding tobacco. The incurable cancers can be cured using this new technology when identified in the early stages.
